1 loaf | Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed |
½ pound | sliced deli ham |
6 slices | Swiss cheese (about 4 oz.) |
½ cup | butter |
1 Tbsp | Dijon mustard |
2 Tbsp | brown sugar |
1 Tbsp | Worcestershire sauce (optional) |
1 Tbsp | poppy seeds (optional) |
Grease an 8-inch cast iron skillet; set aside. On a lightly floured surface roll thawed loaf of dough into a rectangle 24” x 5”. Cover the rectangle with sliced ham. Top ham with sliced Swiss cheese. With the longer end facing you (24” side), roll up the dough tightly in jelly-roll fashion. Seal dough edges. Slice the log of dough into 1-inch pieces. Place the pieces, swirl-side-up in prepared skillet (evenly spaced). Set aside.
Melt butter over medium heat in a small saucepan. Add mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds. Stir over heat until sugar melts. Spoon this mixture over the tops of the dough spirals in skillet. Let rise in warm area until the spirals are double in size. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown. Serve warm from skillet.
