1 loaf | Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed |
5 (1 oz ea) | sticks string cheese |
Melted butter or margarine (optional) | |
Garlic powder or basil (optional) |
Lightly grease baking sheet(s); set aside. Preheat oven to 375°. On a lightly floured surface, roll thawed dough lengthwise into a 15 x 7 inch rectangle. Cut each stick of cheese in half lengthwise. Arrange strips of cheese ½ inch apart on dough to make 10 bread sticks. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut dough into strips. Bring dough around cheese and pinch to seal edges. Place bread sticks 2-3 inches apart, seam sides down on prepared baking sheet(s). If desired, brush each stick with melted butter or margarine and sprinkle with garlic powder and basil. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Brush again with melted butter or margarine. Remove from pan immediately to cool slightly on wire rack.
