¼ cup | pizza or marinara sauce |
2 cups | shredded mozzarella cheese (or a combination of mozzarella and cheddar) |
Bridgford Sliced Pepperoni (about 30 slices) |
Remove frozen loaf of Bridgford Ready-Dough from package. Place on plate and coat with olive oil or spray with pan release, loosely cover with plastic wrap; set aside. Let dough thaw and rise until puffy. Lightly grease a 14-inch pizza pan with olive oil.
Fold dough in half and shape into a circle. Place on middle of prepared pan. Flip over a few times to coat with olive oil. Press and stretch dough with hands until it reaches the edges. Let sit for 1 minute and then press any edges that have shrunk back.
Prick dough several tines with fork evenly over the entire surface.
Spread with sauce and evenly. top with cheese.
Separate Bridgford Pepperoni slices. Evenly space around outer edge of pizza to make a large circle. Place 1 pepperoni in the middle of the circle (the nose). Use about 6 Bridgford Pepperoni slices to make smiling mouth. Cut Bridgford Pepperoni into 2 triangles to make eyes (for 1 triangle, cut 1 slice of pepperoni in half, put the rounded sides together, overlapping slightly to make triangle peak). The straight edges should form and upside down “V.” With sharp knife or scissors, cut the curved bottom into a straight line for bottom of triangle.
Bake pizza in a preheated 425 ̊ oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oven and let sit for a few minutes. Slice, serve and enjoy.
