Place thawed dough on a lightly floured surface. Brush dough lightly with oil or melted butter and let rise until puffy. In a large deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 375 degrees. With a sharp knife, slice dough into 8 equal pieces. Gently stretch and press each dough piece into a large thin circle about 7-inches in diameter (use lightly floured hands if necessary). Fry dough in hot oil, turning until both sides are golden brown. Remove from oil to paper towel lined dish. Repeat with remaining dough pieces.
Serve warm with butter, honey or powdered sugar, or assemble into tacos.
