1 loaf | Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough, thawed |
8 tablespoons | peanut butter |
24 | thin banana slices |
4 teaspoons | chocolate chips |
Melted butter for brushing dough | |
¼ cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon | |
Icing (powdered sugar, vanilla extract and water) |
Divide loaf into 8 equal pieces. Form each piece into a ball and then roll out to a 4-inch circle. Top each circle of dough with 1 teaspoon peanut butter, 3 thin banana slices and ½ teaspoon mini chocolate chips. Fold dough over and seal the seams. Place on prepared pan about 1-1.5 inches apart. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. With sharp knife make two-inch-long slits on the top of each calzone. Bake in a 425°F oven for 12-15 minutes. Remove from oven and pan to cool on a wire rack. Drizzle with icing* and serve.
*Icing: mix together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and water until smooth. If the icing is too thin, add more powdered sugar. Add more water if too thick.
