Mini Waffles
Who doesn’t love waffles? Topped with strawberries and whipped cream, or classic butter and maple syrup, waffles are most definitely a family favorite for “Saturday Morning Breakfast.”
Skip the batter for this popular breakfast item. You don’t need it! That’s right, no batter mixing required for our cute, Mini Waffles. Use Bridgford Parkerhouse Style Rolls!
Let’s get started!
What you will need:
- 1 package Bridgford Parkerhouse Style Roll Dough
- 1 standard size waffle iron
- Nonstick cooking spray
- Butter
- Maple syrup
- And/or any other waffle toppings that strike your fancy!
Thaw your Parkerhouse Rolls according to the package instructions. The package contains 24 rolls. One roll equals one Mini Waffle, therefore thaw as many as needed. You can even pan and thaw your rolls in the refrigerator (covered) overnight, so they’ll be ready to go in the morning!
Dust your thawed rolls lightly with flour. Flatten each roll into approximately 4-inch circles.
Turn your waffle iron on and set it to MAX heat. Lightly grease the inside plates with cooking spray. Once your waffle iron is fully heated, place one roll in the center of the iron. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
Add your desired amount of butter and maple syrup (or your favorite toppings) and your Mini Waffles are ready to eat! How easy is that? Enjoy!
Sounds great. Might just be better than Cracker Barrel for breakfast and we'll be trying this at our house this weekend. Already had the rolls once this week with a pot roast and my wife is starting to think I know what I'm doing in the kitchen.
Thank you so much for your comment! Please let us know how your waffles turn out. Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
